So i just laminate the entire sheet then cut out my pieces.

Because i use small pieces i have been cutting the pieces laminating and then cutting again so the edges would remain sealed after laminating.
For years i have laminated the small pieces of my games and centers to make sure they will last.
This is because the laminate will have a sealed edge where one piece of the plastic laminate fused to the other.
Then place the template on top of the laminate sheet you need to cut which should still be lined up closely against the wall.
First though cut the edges of the old plastic film as close the paper as you can and be sure the object is clean and dry.
If you only wqnt to laminate small things go to a craft hobby shop and ask for the xyron x150 and a repositionable adhesive refill.
Refills are available in permanent or repositionable adhesive.
So far i ve only had a few instances where the lamination pulled off of the paper after cutting them.
According to office zone if you sent your paper through when the machine was too hot sending it through the machine a second time will not fix the waviness and dimples on the surface that the excess heat caused.
