Choose either a standard circular saw or a wet cut circular saw to cut granite.

Because this will be a messy job and you ll need your garden hose you ll want to work outdoors.
This video goes through the basics of using a small inexpensive wet saw to cut marble or granite tiles.
For example if you are installing a kitchen countertop use a circular saw for the lengthy section and use a jigsaw to cut the sink hole out.
Meanwhile a router can be used on the edges if you cut a little too wide while using the circular saw.
